Greetings Gents,
Piacenza at NAPOLI – Napoli has been very effective at home: 6W-5D-0L, a mere 7 goals allowed. Only one win in the last 8 games, but defense continues to hold team in games. Piacenza beat Napoli in week 2 by a score of 2-1. Since then, no other opponent has been able to score more than one goal against Serie B’s most defensive team. Piacenza not in the form they were between week 7 and week 11, when they won 5 straight. In the last 2 games, no goal scored. A lot at stake in this game, with both teams at the top of the standings and separated by just 2 points; with a win, Napoli could vault to 40 points, and a temporary lead of Juventus. With only nine goals scored on the road, don’t think Piacenza will be able to duplicate their effort of week 2. With Naples, laying half a goal is always dangerous, as the draw is always in the picture. Yet, I do not expect them to be flat and hold back against Piacenza, as they will go after the - game changing - first goal. Napoli’s tenacious 4-4-2 is more than capable of holding this opponent scoreless (I’m looking for the 1-nil victory).
The play: NAPOLI -0.5 –103 (4.5 units)
MA says: Time for Napoli to get in predator mode with 2 straight home games; Piacenza now, and Arezzo next week. Six points, and some breathing room, is never a bad thing.
Cheers and radical good luck,
MA
